COVID 19-UPDATE

March 18, 2020.
 
Dear parents, students, conductors, and instructors,
 
With the rapidly changing restrictions of social activities, work, and schooling, we are all doing our part in trying to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. Therefore, the following announcement should be of no surprise.
 
Last night the Board of Directors of the Surrey Symphony Society unanimously approved a motion suspending all rehearsals for the SYO Orchestra Programme and Chamber Music Programme until further notice.
 
In the coming days I will be having conversations with the Board as well as with our contracted conductors, artistic director, administrator, and sectional instructors to explore options depending on the circumstances at each point in time. I will keep you informed of any changes as soon as possible, but for now it is a matter of wait and see.
