50th Anniversary Concert – Alumni & Past Director Invitation

We are delighted to invite you to join us in celebrating a very special milestone – the 50th Anniversary of the Surrey Symphony Society – with a commemorative Surrey Youth Orchestra concert at 7 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Chandos Pattison Auditorium, 10238 168 St, Surrey.

This anniversary concert will honour five decades of music-making, mentorship, and the many talented young musicians who have been part of the SYO family over the years.

We would be thrilled to have our alumni and past directors in attendance as we reflect on the organization’s history and look ahead to its future.

Alumni musicians are also warmly invited to audition to perform in the final piece of the evening, playing alongside the current Senior Orchestra of the SYO. Participation will be by audition and a short audition video is required. Videos should be submitted directly to the Senior Orchestra conductor, Joel Stobbe, using the following link:

Alumni whose auditions are successful will be given free admission as participating
musician.

Tickets for the concert will be available through Showpass at a special alumni price of $20. Alumni are also welcome to invite family and friends to attend, with tickets priced
at $30 adults and $25 students and seniors.
