PERFORMANCES, REHEARSALS AND SECTIONALS

Orchestra Rehearsals
All orchestra and sectional rehearsals take place on Saturdays between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM at Surrey Christian Secondary School (15353 92 Ave, Surrey, BC).

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Prelude Strings: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

• Intermezzo Strings: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

• Intermediate Orchestra: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Senior Orchestra: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

• Piccolo Strings: 12:15 PM – 1:00 PM

Chamber Music Program

Chamber Music Programs are held once per term, led by artistic director Joel Stobbe and prominent musicians in the lower mainland BC.

50th Anniversary Concert

Join us as the Surrey Youth Orchestra proudly celebrates its Golden 50th Season with a special concert on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Chandos Pattison Auditorium.

For five decades, SYO has been nurturing young musicians and enriching the cultural life of Surrey through the power of orchestral music. This milestone concert brings together our full family of ensembles, from the youngest string players to our accomplished senior orchestra, for an inspiring evening of symphonic works and heartfelt celebration.
